What is warblish?
Warblish is the interpretation of bird calls or birdsong as meaningful words or phrases which also mimic the tone and tempo of the bird sounds.
For example the yellowhammer says, 'a little bit of bread but no cheese please'
Warblish is found in many cultures and languages, but is rarely named or distinguished from mere onomatopoeia. It is sometimes known as birdsong mnemonics, and has only recently been named warblish by researcher Hannah Sarvasy. The fact it exists without having a distinct and well-known name makes it difficult to research so I need your help to locate examples.
